Concept art

Characters, props & backgrounds

Various designs, 2022.
Concept art for a queer fantastical story about a Jester that loses his king and joins a pirate crew. This is a personal project of mine. It's loosely based on various historic periods. Depicted is the pirate crew, the jester and his toys, and the infamous purple merchant with her wives.

Environmental prop designs, 2022
Another personal project, where a magical being in a pocket dimension controls time. She has her palace and her writing stand, and outside of that there is the lush vegetation that grows wild.

Middleton & Starlight City character designs, 2022.
A project that follows a girl named Sparkle who needs the friends for various adventures. In one episode, she travels the medieval city of Middleton and fights a mermaid captain. In another episode, she wriggles her way into a secret studio to save a friend trapped by evil Bigwigs.

Prop design for a rabbit merchant, 2022.
Concept art for a rabbit character. The idea is that this rabbit has a small chance to show up in each area in-game, if you find it, you can mug it. For every area that it can spawn in, the rabbit has a different backpack design with specialized loot inside.

Johnny Williams reference sheet for animation class, 2018.

Short film class, 2021.
Jack Frost wreaks havoc on the world with his icy bliss, until Lady Spring shows him some manners in a comedic short film.

Decors

A set of backgrounds done for graphic design class, 2020.
The first is more akin to a forest from a happy children's movie. I wanted the background to radiate warmth and comfort, with a little hideout at the end of the dense tunnel.
The second forest is slightly more abstract and graphic. Because of the lineless shapes that are very geometrical and upright, I intended the picture to feel cold and forboding.
The third image is are my concepts.

Background practice for graphic design class, 2019.
The theme was Italian city. The assignment was to start with a plan that was created from scratch, so the places are made up. Then to pull that into three different points of view. Perspetive is not my strong suit, especially without any reference. Luckily I had more fun with the color designing process.
All viewpoints in order: Under the bridge, viewing the court and in the tram.

School projects

'Brave Little Light' concept art for graphic design class, 2019.
For this assignment, I had to create a story, so I made a story about a little girl who fights a dragon to save the day. Along with a couple of illustrations, their making-ofs, a colored storyboard, and concept art of the main characters and the girl's sword.

'Tooth for Tooh', a small production file for a conceptual shortfilm for a writing & design class, 2020.
The story about a serial killer who is haunted by the spirits of his victims, which drives him into madness and eventually to his death. Here are the concepts behind the story. Richard is still near and dear to my heart. One day I'd like a short TV show about him and the ghosts' shenanigans.

'Gabriel Bologna', a small production file for a conceptual shortfilm for a writing & design class, 2018.
The story follows a humble Polish Butcher, trying to get adjusted to modern life. He's got a big attitude problem, and his kids grow up so fast, yet he learns to love despite al this.
